Despite lower than average numbers in our Spring Chinook run, we are finding biters on our guided Mckenzie Salmon Trips.

Our big game fish are arriving right now on the McKenzie, Middle Fork Willamete and the South Santiam.  We got a couple springers to cooperate, but the steelhead we landed, really stole the show.

Summer Steelhead and Spring Chinook arrival in the southern Willamette Valley rivers is a little behind schedule when compared with last years numbers.

With warmer weather moving, our winter steelheading is drawing to a close.  While numerous systems are known to produce winter-run fish in late March and into April, the majority are finished for the season and most  coastal rivers close to winter-run fishing on March 31st.
