Low water and heavy fishing pressure are contributing to making steelhead fishing on the McKenzie and other Willamette Valley rivers more challenging.  We are however, managing to find some feisty fish that are cooperating.  With salmon retention now prohibited as per recent regulation changes, we are intercepting and releasing some hard-fighting Spring Chinook on our Steelhead trips.
