Fall Chinook are now Staging in most Oregon Coastal Estuaries
Submitted by John Gross on 28 September 2011 - 10:16am.
FISHING REPORT: Fish moved on up fairly quickly this past week on the Coos System, but a few are holding long enough in the Bay to grab an occasional bait. Silvers and Chinook are showing themselves on the lower Umpqua, especially just before high slack, but an aggressive consistent bite has failed to develop. From Thursday through Sunday of last week, reports of improved Chinook fishing on the Siuslaw sufaced. The lower Coquille is now kicking out fish well upriver of Rocky Point and the crabbing near Bandon is reported as excellent. |
