Fishing Report

Though still not "RED HOT", fishing on the McKenzie River just east of Eugene, Oregon is picking up. The river level remains on the high side, which has fish moving fast rather than holding for long periods in the holes. They seem to bite better when when they hold in the holes. Regardless, we had a respectable day going 3 for 4 on Spring Chinook and also nailing a surprise 31 inch Steelhead. All fish were taken on bait-wrapped plugs, even the steelhead which was caught in a very deep salmon hole.
