We escaped the heat this past week by hitting some whitewater stretches on the upper Mckenzie River while chasing after the abundant hatchery trout that consistently smashed our flies. Both wet and dries were working great and at times the action was non-stop. They did seem more aggressive to the dries in the afternoons and evenings.
