Flyfishing for Rainbows and Cuts on the McKenzie has been excellent for the last few weeks. The fish have been very responsive to the dry between 10:30am and 3:30pm. The fish seem to respond directly to changes in the weather which, as of late, has been characterized by intermittent showers. When the surface bite slows, we've moved to nymphing and dragging wet patterns. We've been rewarded with several surprise summer-run steelhead while on the drag!!
