Story from Roaring Fork Guide Service

McKenzie Steelhead

| | |

We are still picking up Spring Chinook salmon on the McKenzie River 30 minutes east of Eugene, Oregon. Fishing pressure is down and we are still able to find a few salmon that are, surprisingly enough, in decent shape. Summer Steelhead are now starting to show up more regularly in the daily catch. We landed a real "fatty" yesterday that measured 30 inches and looked to be about 11lbs! Trout fishing remains good to excellent.
